About Myiah

Myiah in Freiburg

Myiah Sahulga Smith is from North East, Washington D.C., and graduated valedictorian class of 2016 from the SEED Boarding School of Washington DC. Myiah spent her JR year of High School abroad in Leipzig, Germany, from 2014 - 2015. The blog reflects on their travels, experiences, and thoughts during her first year abroad. 

Myiah also spent her JR year of undergrad living in Freiburg, Germany, and aspires to maintain her German language proficiency. They received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in May of 2020. They majored in Culture and Politics, concentration in Ecology & Fine Arts, with a minor in German Language and Culture. Myiah dreams of becoming a dual citizen of Germany and hopes to spend their early career in service working abroad.
